I’ve been immersed in dance, movement, and somatic practices in New York City since 1998. Today my work connects me with people worldwide via the internet and locally in-person.
I work at the place where somatic practice and movement meet—where the nervous system’s wisdom and the authenticity of movement begin to speak to each other. My background as a Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner and as a lifelong movement artist has shaped a deep reverence for impulse, not only as a survival response, but as a creative force.
SE+AM grew out of my own questions and need for a practice that could hold both the therapeutic and the expressive, the individual and the relational. In both my performance work and my facilitation, I’m interested in how bodies tell the truth, how they reach for connection and enact protection, and when freed, how they create new ways of being together.
This is personal work for me. It’s how I parent, how I partner, how I process and participate in the world—through the body, through curiosity, through practice.
